About Dhamma Laṭṭhikā
Dhamma Laṭṭhikā, which means ‘Rod of Dhamma’, is located in northwestern Cambodia, province of Battambang, about 18km from Battambang City. The site covers an area of more than 4 hectares surrounding a hill called Phnom Trung Moan. The Center was established in January 2004.
The Dhamma Hall can accommodate more than 180 students and the center has adequate accommodation for over 150 students. Presently, 10-day courses, Satipatthana courses, 20-day courses, 30-day courses, 3-day courses, and Teenagers' and Children's Courses are being held every year.
Travelling to Dhamma Laṭṭhikā
From Phnom Penh:
Dhamma Laṭṭhikā is located in Battambang Province which is 290km northwest of Phnom Penh via National Road No. 5 and about 18km from Battambang City via National Road No.57.
From Phnom Penh, a bus can take you directly to Dhamma Laṭṭhikā in Battambang for about 30,000 Riel (US$7.50). Please contact: +855 12 400 441 for more information.
For Students: Time and Place of departure is the Course Start Date (Day 0) before 6:30am at RITH MONY BUS COMPANY.
For Dhamma Servers: Time and Place of departure is ONE DAY before the Course Start Date (ONE DAY before Day 0) before 6:30am at RITH MONY BUS COMPANY, No. 24Eo, Street 102, Sangkat Wat Phnom, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh (near Cambodian Post Office, Wat Phnom).
Please mention that you are a Vipassana Student to claim the bus fare of about 30,000 Riel (US$7.50) (for Vipassana Student ONLY) and you will stop at Dhamma Laṭṭhikā Center.
From Siem Reap City:
Battambang is 170km from Siem Reap. There is transport by ordinary inter-town bus or by private taxi. The cost is US$7.50 by bus, and US$75 dollars for a full taxi or cheaper if you can share.
From Battambang City:
Dhamma Laṭṭhikā Center is 18km from Battambang downtown. By Moto-taxi or Tuk-Tuk, it may cost about 20,000 Riel (US$5). Tell the driver to take you to the Vipassana Center at Phnom Trung Moan (Chicken Cage Hill), 1Km from Phnom Sampov.
